We've been in the new house for a week and a half, have had our first house guests and are settling right in. Mama and Katie and Kyla came to visit and we had the best time - plus my kitchen is now totally finished, thanks to all of their hard work and help :)

When we were moving, I was thinking we wouldn't have barstools right away and that I would have to go on a hunt for the ones I wanted. I'm still on the hunt and I think I've found what I want, but we are able to use our bar-height table stools from the basement for now.
I'm a sucker for all things symmetrical and so is Brian. This room highlights that OCD tendency pretty well.
Mama and Katie really went to town with the organization. Brian walked in and asked if we were "wallpapering" the drawers and shelves in the pantry and we got a good laugh. It was worth all the hard work and measuring though - look how pretty Mama made it!
The arch turned out exactly how we wanted and maybe even a little better, thanks to our amazing trim carpenters, Urban Wood Designs.
Now we are just waiting on the marble slab for the foyer table and a huge spray of hydrangeas once it stops snowing 'round these parts.
