What a Difference 9 Months Makes

It's been 9.5 months since we bought this little bungalow and we are 5.5 weeks away from moving in.  Looking back at what the house was, I almost can't believe what it has morphed in to.

The new front door is in, the porch board and railings are installed and it's beginning to look a lot like the house we designed.  The painters started on the exterior (you can see where the shingles were painted gray and some of the trim white) and then snow started so they have moved inside. 

The kitchen countertops are in!  I am giddy over how the kitchen is coming together.  The backsplash will be installed this week.  My mother also informed me that the apron sink will be great to bathe her grandbabies in.  No pressure....

 The staircase is complete as well...

 

All the Trimmings

We are 7 weeks away from moving and I'm ready.  I was ready 4 months ago. 

I'm even more ready every time I walk in the house and new parts of the trim work are taking shape.

Our kitchen is taking shape (so excited about this that I can hardly stand the waiting)
